In terms of overall satisfaction, WordPerfect's scores are even slightly better than Word's. But WordPerfect also receives better scores overall for technical support--a hallmark of WordPerfect
that current owner Corel has restored. WordPerfect for
Windows 95, for example, garners the highest overall
score for technical support of any word processor. Perhaps
that's because the same users have had lots of
opportunities to test it out: 24 percent of WordPerfect for
Windows 95 users have needed technical support, which
Corel provides free of charge, in the past year.
Interestingly, WordPerfect for DOS retains a loyal
following, though few would recommend it to someone
else--an indication that its time may have passed.
