God's precision amazes me. There are 66 books in the Bible. There are 66 chapters in Isaiah. 39 books are in the Old Testament and 27 books are in the New Testament. The First 39 chapters of Isaiah, Isaiah urge the people of Judah to get right with God, but the people were too busy with their lives to pay attention. Starting with chapter 40, the next 27 chapters are filled with promise and hope. Those chapters also include some of the most amazing prophecies in scripture about the birth and death of Jesus, the Messiah, 700 years before these events occurred! Just listen to Handel's messiah and realize that much of it comes from these later chapters of Isaiah.
