Carlson Restaurants Worldwide Inc., a unit of Carlson
Companies Inc., Minnetonka, said it will donate 50 percent of
all proceeds earned Thursday to the American Red Cross
Disaster Relief Fund as part of "Dine Out For America," a
partnership of U.S. restaurant companies to raise funds for
victims and families of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. The
company operates 12 restaurant concepts, including T.G.I.
Friday's.

Orphan Medical Inc., Minnetonka, has submitted to the
Food and Drug Administration an amendment to its Xyrem
new drug application, representing the company's response to
the agency's approvable letter received in July. The company
said the amendment, which requests approval of Xyrem by the
end of the year, includes revisions to product labeling and the
risk-management program, a safety update of ongoing clinical
trials and respiratory data.

MQSoftware, Golden Valley, said Unified Western Grocers,
Commerce, Calif., has licensed MQSoftware's file-transfer
software.

Target Corp., Minneapolis, said it will build a new 1.7
million-square-foot distribution center in Shafter, Calif. The
center is expected to open in March 2003.

Burger King Corp., Miami, has named Frederick (Rick) Dow
senior vice president of marketing programs and sales. Dow
previously was senior vice president of brand management and
marketing programs for West Group, Eagan. Dow will report
to Chris Clouser, a former Northwest Airlines executive who is
Burger King's executive vice president and chief global
marketing officer.

DTN Weather Services, Minneapolis, has named Robert
Gordon chief executive officer. Gordon previously was vice
president of Carleton operations for Oracle Corp. The
company's name will change to Meteorlogix on Oct. 23.

Snyder's Drug Store Co., Minnetonka, said it will move its
Drug Emporium division headquarters to Minnesota from
Columbus, Ohio. The company completed the acquisition of
Drug Emporium in September.

Life Time Fitness Inc., Eden Prairie, will open a fitness
facility in Champlin on Oct. 26.

eNetpc Inc., Eden Prairie, has closed its hardware sales office
in Tempe, Ariz., and its manufacturing facility in Eden Prairie.
The company also ended its receivables-factoring agreement
with Capital Business Credit. That credit line will be paid in full
this month, leaving the company nearly debt-free.

Siemens, San Jose, Calif., and BioconX Inc., Edina, have
agreed to jointly market BioconX software with Siemens'
biometric hardware.

Aetrium Inc., North St. Paul, has received an order for a
Model 5800 test handler from an Asian test, assembly and
packaging company. Terms were not disclosed.

Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis, will open offices in Sao
Paulo, Brazil; Singapore, and Hong Kong by January.

ICM Plastics, Rogers, has filed for a patent on its new
molding technology, having molded conductive plastic bipolar
plates for use in the PEM fuel cell industry.
