So far (over the past three years) Fleckenstein has mostly turned out to be correct, though he tends to be about a year ahead of things, if not more. If you look at the monetary figures, and consider the apparent decision to spend down the budget surplus as fast as possible, it appears that he is correct in concluding that most parts of the government are cooperating in trying to revive the unending "Dr. Feelgood" period.

More people might take him more seriously if he did not give the appearance of frothing at the mouth. If you look at what is behind the "rant," however, the monetary and fiscal actions of our government are extremely irresponsible.
