If you're going to characterize the US as a failure, who would you propose as a standard of success?

I would suggest that the U.S. listen more carefully to it's allies who have more experience with terrorism and how terrorists operate ... as well as where the deepest roots of terrorism are. No one country will be able to destroy terrorism on their own. The U.S. is alienating it's allies ... this will not prove helpful for them in their fight against terror. You have to back up your words with action ... you can't state one thing but do another ... you risk being called a liar and a hypocrite. The allies want to work with the U.S. but the U.S. needs to make a commitment that the allies can believe in.

The information as even the U.S. government has stated was out there to prevent the WTC attacks but the intelligence agencies failed. There were people out there who knew an attack on the U.S. was in the works. America's allies tried to warn them ... America didn't listen close enough. They are in danger of making the same mistake again as is evident in some of their current activities.

The battle has not just begun ... it has been going on for many years and the U.S. has been losing. Please don't say the battle has just begun because America is just now recognizing that the battle even exists. It is important to recognize defeat before you can do anything about it.

Lola:)
