When have we ever had a position like that?

The U.S. government is currently taking this position in how they have been dealing with terrorism faced by India. While they are promoting their relationship with Pakistan, India has been attacked just last week and told by the U.S. not to respond to these attacks. Pakistan based terrorists proudly took responsibility for the massacre in Kashmir and Musharraf refused to do anything about them. I don't think America would be too impressed if other countries told them not to respond to the WTC attacks.
