Exodus to Receive ISO 9001:2000 Certification
One of the First Internet Operations Outsourcing Companies to be Recommended For New ISO 9001:2000 Quality Standard
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Exodus Communications®, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: EXDSQ - news) today announced it has been recommended to receive ISO 9001:2000 quality management standard certification. Exodus® is one of the first Internet operations outsourcing companies to be recommended for the new certification.
BSI, the world's leading quality management systems registrar, performed an assessment of the Exodus Customer Response Center during September 2001 and recommended the Company for certification. ISO 9001:2000 is a new certification that emphasizes quality assurance, meeting customer requirements and measuring customer satisfaction. To achieve certification, organizations must determine customer needs and expectations and, as a new requirement, monitor customer satisfaction.
Exodus has a long-standing commitment to quality standards and practices. The Company achieved SunTone certification from Sun Microsystems in Q1 2000 and in Q1 2001, Deloitte & Touche issued SAS 70 reports for all 23 qualified Exodus Internet Data Centers (IDCs).
