TVI Corporation Announces Appointment of Military Marketing Manager
GLENN DALE, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 10, 2001--
TVI Corporation announced Wednesday that it had appointed Glen D.
Howard as Military Products Marketing Manager
Mr. Howard has just retired from the U. S. Army after a 22 year career in the NBC Defense Field.
His career is marked by steady advancements, increasing responsibilities, and continued educational achievement. He was awarded the Legion of Merit at his retirement for a career of outstanding performance by Major General Doesburg, Commanding General of the Soldier Biological Chemical Command (SBCCOM) at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD.
In presenting the Legion of Merit medal, General Doesburg noted that he was intimately familiar with Mr. Howard's superb performance throughout his military career which "indeed warranted such honor and distinction."
Mr. Howard has an extensive background in the fields of Chem-Bio Response and Tactical Operations, as well as significant Special Operations experience.
Previous assignments include Operations Sergeant of the Program Directorate for Biological Defense Systems at SBCCOM, Chem-Bio Response Team Leader in the US Army Technical Escort Unit at APG, and Chemical Detachment Sergeant in the 3rd Special Forces Group at Ft Bragg, NC. His final assignment was First Sergeant of a Technical Escort Unit WMD Response Force in the National Capital Region.
Mr. Howard graduated from Central Texas College in 1995 and will receive a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science from Pickering University in May 2002. He is a graduate of the US Army Chemical Corps Advanced Noncommissioned Officers Course and US Army First Sergeant Course. He also holds several military and civilian certifications in Nuclear-Biological-Chemical (NBC) Defense specialties.
