Class Action attorneys do so well on fees there's little disincentive. There was a case (don't know the specifics and too lazy to look up) which concerned all Chase Visa card holders. I believe the action was based on Chase's calculation of finance charges beg. at 12 midnight NY time even if cardholder was not living in NY. the diff. to almost anyone was tiny but in aggregate it was a decent sized 'harm' and claim was settled. I think I was credited with $0.02. Yes 2 cents. But if attorneys got say, 25% of entire damage amount they made out like bandits.

Is this the modern day version of the adage 'think globally, act locally'? Yikes.
