After a debacle into Christmas (but not before we go well above 1700) I see more or less clear sailing for 2002 with no major problems until at the earliest, late 2002, but no later than the second quarter in 2003. Yes, 9/11 caused a delay of about a full quarter in the long range forecast. It also lowered the top from a prior 3800, to around 2900/3100, but these will have to be refined. The theme is "enjoy the excess stimulation now and pay later". The Dow top with a marginal new ll time high is still possible in that time frame.
