I thought of a good basis for an argument to illuminate the truth you so eloquently stated. Start the debate by defining the biggest reason that people are shooting each other (mostly gang related imo). When the two sides come to an agreement on what is causing this phenomenon, ask why the dems don't focus on THE MAIN REASON that people kill each other. In other words, why spin the nations wheels so to speak by taking away one of our constitutional rights to solve an issue when the same energy could go to the CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM.

In a well laid out argument, the anti-gun people would not fair well.
