Nothing like a little Bioterror scare to bring the industry back in favor (thank you CNN!). You damn well know that the feds are going to have to sink a whole bunch of bucks into R&D for rapid diagnostics and treatment technologies. They certainly are in a spend money mode these days, deficits be damned. That of course will trickle down into the industry as a whole. Hopefully one of these suicidal zealots doesn't figure out how to make a superinfectious, sure killing bug that will kill everyone on the planet. Such a critter never evolves naturally, as anything that is toxic enough to kill all its hosts, kills itself too, and mama nature is just to smart for that. I always figured that mankind goes out trying to emulate the sun and burn the whole planet, but maybe we just figure out how to kill all the people and leave the planet prospering. Good for earth, bad for us.... OK, how does one stop the spread of a nasty 100% lethal bug that is distributed over a huge geographic area? Nuke it of course! A bit of the wide area sterilization. OK enough doom and gloom for now, I think I'll go watch the evening news - Doh! Better stick to game shows, even MASH reruns are too serious these days.
