I would certainly say that the gov't should almost NEVER step in to help corporations....since they have enough tax benefits already.
But when the entire national transportation system is at risk, they MUST....
Chrysler wasn't exactly the same situation, but at the TIME it seemed somewhat the same considering how important the AUTO industry has been to the perception of what America is. The ghosts of Henry Ford....you know.
