A lot of things are at stake when the economy there is poised for a major growth. I don't think the PRC would resolve this issue by simply using force, as long as Taiwan people don't call for independence. Since the current Taiwan Prez is no longer popular anymore and I see some rising stars like Taipei Mayor Ma Ying-Zhou (KMT), who wants to make trade with the mainland, things can be straightened out easily. And great to see Sun Yat-Sze's portrait rather than Mao's, in the background of PRC annual meeting.
