Not much. Police were out in force

Good, I'm glad to hear that. You know we had our little riot in LA and I was fearing something similar. Lot of people got hurt in LA and those neighborhoods have not really recovered.

Those in power wish to perpetuate their power at the exclusion of all others not in their socio-religious-political group.

Very true, governmental agencies are hotbeds for cronyism. Here is where I have a problem with some of the work unions do in keeping bad apples far too long.

That is the root cause of what happened here in April and again a couple weeks ago.

I have no idea what you mean here and I don't want to ascribe a meaning.

On the issue of guns, I did some poking around last night and found that the game of statistics shuffling is rampant in regards to that issue. As I don't own a gun, nor wish to own one, I must confess I don't pay a lot of attention to the issue.
However, the real issue seems to be crime, afterall, if no one was hurt, no one would care. It seems clear that where they do gun sweeps, a lot of guns are picked up and crime is reduced. Therefore, I would concentrate on that rather than worry about what kind of ammo a hunter has.
There are extremeist on both sides of this issue and I learn nothing from either.
