Bodily defensive mechanisms are not antibiotics and exogenous defensive mechanisms. Hard to resist by the body is different than "resistant." Just look up "reisitant"- as it relates to pathogens. Maybe laypeople infer resistant from virulent, but no one who has studied pathogens would.
