My assumption was a 1:1 since AX was trading higher than GX at the time the proposal was announced. GX is the acquiror and AX was doing fine on its own. GX is doing this out of its own necessity not AX's. The AX BOD would/should never approve a takeunder - nor would AX shareholders. In a normal economic environment 1:1 is actually too cheap since AX has been executing nicely thus far and operates in a very high growth market that deserves a premium. If an outside party is brought in to evaluate a "fair price" for AX it would have to be much higher than GX's current $1/share. I say AX is the better buy at this time. My opinion.
