According to my local Schwab office, the eSchwab no-fee sign-up has been extended (at least until September, or perhaps until the end of the year).

I currently use Schwab's Street Smart software with a Schwab One account. I just learned that their web-trading system will work for both eSchwab and Schwab One accounts. But I tried it out last night and it was excrutiatingly, painfully slow. They sure need to work on improving it. For now I will keep using Street Smart.
