You appear to be obsessed with "racism".

People do the kind of work they do for all kinds of reasons.
What's available, what their qualifications are, family tradition, peer influences, lifestyle preferences, personality, willingness to work.

We have a friend who came up from Costa Rica about three years ago. Started out blowing leaves - got on with a nursery/landscaping business - now has his own small landscaping business. Smart guy. He happens to like his work. About a year after he came here, his wife came up. The day after she arrived he brought her over to meet us. This bright young woman already had business cards offering her services cleaning homes and caring for vacant vacation homes.

No doubt in my mind this couple will own rental property of their own in a few years. And you can bet someone will be whining about being left behind on some racial basis.

My point is the guy started with the lowliest job and was glad to have it. It never occurred to him that he had to stay in that job.
