I think you are incorrect. I have seen plenty of references in Israeli publications to Israeli Arabs, which,incidentally, include Muslims, Christians, and the Druze. "Palestinian" is not recognized as a nationality in Israeli, at least for purposes of citizenship.
As for the Right of Return, well, Israel is committed to preserving the distinctly Jewish character of Israel for as long as possible. People like Kahane, who has espoused the expulsion of the Arabs, have been condemned by the Supreme Court, and excluded from politics. The only alternative is to encourage immigration. Perhaps if the Arabs were not relentlessly hostile, the idea of a binational state could be revived. But it is probably too late for that....... |
