So the Germans that managed to flee, or the Germans that sheltered Jews where guilty? They were collectively guilty as a nation. I agree at least to an extent but I don't think Al-Qaida or even its sympathizers and supporters are going to listen to moderate voices. Well then we will just have to reach out with love and understanding upon of course reaching a consensus about what love and understanding really means.
