My understanding is that it was a hybrid solution that has/had a problem. So rule out the HW only offerings. My suspects: E4/Dooin - Hybrid (Chromatic) ATI - Hybrid, SW & HW. STB - Hybrid, SW & HW. I don't think ATI & STB are shipping though and wasn't at least one of them using Chromatic? Zoran's - - They have sw, would make me nervous. These are all hardware based so I would think they aren't suspect Toshiba - They have hw ( Toshiba ) Diamond - They have hw ( ZiVA ) Creative - They have hw ( ZiVA ) Quadrant - They have hw ( ZiVA ) IBM Aptiva C3D (Quadrant) Guess you should add Creative's Panasonic version to this too.
