I recall saying that it does not matter if p4 is slower than pIII at the same clock just as long as the final product is faster. That is p4-2GHz (top freq) is faster than pIII-1GHz (top freq) and that what counts. You don't care if intel faster or slower just as long as it operates at higher frequency. Why don't you feed p4 with 20GHz and make it operates at every 10th tick. Maybe that what Barrett meant when he mentioned 20GHz -Albert
