One minister said Kabul airport and military bases to the east of the city had been hit along with government offices in the southern city of Kandahar. The airport came under attack again on Thursday night and witnesses said an adjacent military base was struck by three bombs, sending Taliban fighters and civilians fleeing for cover. ``A column of smoke is rising from it. people are panicked, running away for cover,'' one witness said. Gee, that last part sounds familiar....didn't panicked people run away from a column of smoke in NYC about a month ago?
