There is certainly precedent for that, i.e. the Nurenburg trials after WWII. But those were different times. If he were tried in the Hague as war criminal guilty of crimes against humanity, he could be convicted and imprisoned like some of the butchers from the Balkans conflicts. Death penalty, alhthough certainly deserved, would I think be unlikely to come from an international tribunal. One can only imagine the trouble that would come from such a trial, even without the death penalty. I expect most world leaders would prefer that he simply turn up KIA or even better, "MIA."
