I think it is too late for that. The Saudis comply for a price. They are merchants above all else. Their obeisance to Wahhabiism is like Alabama's to Baptists. It keeps the poor in line, or jailed.

If the extremist branch of the royals takes charge and goes anti-US, you'll see it first with OPEC.... follow the money.

At this point, they need buyers for their oil, so I don't expect much trouble from SA.... yet. When Kazakhstan gets a 'goin' in a few years, that's when to look for more Saudi displeasure.

OBL, by compelling an alliance between Russia and the US, is undercutting SA... do you think he's shrewd enough to have been after that all along? Time'll tell...
