Thank you for looking Karen, but I'm not sure that link contains the original statement. The second post in that link was the one I was referring to in my post to X when I said I found something that referenced it but that it was inconclusive. I will quote that so anyone who cares can tell what I am talking about -

"Some have had quite enough "difference" and object to demands of other cultures
that theirs be changed (or just put in the closet).

Saying, "enough's enough" is hardly anal retentive. "

If that actually was the original post then I would say that it is no clear that it is an attack against tolerance. It seems more to be an attack on the idea of making special accommodations for those who are different. Making special accommodations goes beyond mere tolerance. I think in some cases such accommodations are a good idea but not making them is probably not the same thing as being intolerant.

Overall I am more interested in discussing ideas then in discussing who said what when so I might refrain from further comment about this particular sub issue. Michael M is the only person who knows exactly what he meant, and anyone who is confused about it should just ask him.

If however you want to discuss the issue of special accommodations for people from different cultural or linguistic backgrounds that might be interesting enough to be worth our time.
