Why? Neither Russia or China are belligerent towards the world right now.
Russia is an economically ruined country, overrun by criminals and nearsighted, political cronies. But, lately, it seems like Russia is reaching out to the US, especially in this war against terrorism. I would guess this is because of Chechnya and wanting to get even with Afghanistan, but it is most welcome.
China is an overpopulated dictatorship that is run by old men. Fortunately, they don't seem to have the will or the resolve to attack tiny Taiwan.
I am not saying that China or Russia is to be fully trusted, and I know that they sell weapon systems to our enemies, but I fear an attack by these demented, Islamic terrorists, much more than I do China or Russia, right now, or for the foreseen future. |
