Hi Rich,

I have not drawn the same conclusions you have about the intentions of the President. Freedom of speech is a cornerstone of our freedom. I belive that any government should be forthright and truthful. However, as you seem to indicate by your concerns, the free flow of all information may not be for the national good. Any administration be it George Bush or Bill Clinton should not be forced to share all information with the public. National or public security may be at risk if they do.
With the internet and other channels of communication, it would appear to me very difficult to create an "iron curtain" on information in today's world. Of greater danger I believe is the tendency of many to utilize few if any of the information channels to educate themselves on the issues.
Over the past few days I have heard over the airwaves many instances of how the enemy could poison our food supply or use a crop duster for biological warfare. We are educating the enemy and potential loonies on means of spreading havoc.

Thanks
Hammer
