Not only are they going to have the other Wireless Service Providers ticked off at them.. They are also going to have the RBOC's ticked off at them as well. How did you like those Cricket vandalism stories in Pueblo??

I think, as a general rule, the more a company pisses off the RBOC's, the more I like them <g>. This isnt a case like the CLEC's....Leap isnt dependent on these companies for anything.

I have always thought that HDR's quickest route to success would be deployments in rural areas for fixed wireless access. The economics of offering wireless data access in NY arent compelling....they look a hell of a lot better in Peoria. At least in the short to medium term, I see a two pronged market. The business user who is willing to pay exorbitant prices for the ability to roam anywhere in the country....and the fixed wireless market on a city by city basis.

I think it will be a long time before PCS is willing to offer a nationwide flat rate for wireless access that is anywhere close to reasonable.
