SPEEDCOM Wireless Announces Marketing And Sales Agreement With Pinnacle Towers
SARASOTA, Fla., Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- SPEEDCOM Wireless Corporation, (Nasdaq: SPWC - news) announced today that its Wave Wireless Networking division has entered into a reciprocal agreement to allow rapid deployment of Wave Wireless broadband wireless equipment with Pinnacle Towers Inc. a subsidiary of Pinnacle Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: BIGT - news).
Under this agreement, Pinnacle Towers and Wave Wireless will collaborate on joint sales opportunities to help customers rapidly establish broadband wireless communications between building and tower locations for broadband service. Pinnacle Towers, a leading, independent owner, operator and developer of wireless communications sites with over 5,000 towers nationwide, offers their customers an inventory of strategically located tower and rooftop communications facilities throughout the United States and Canada.
Wave Wireless will use Pinnacle Towers' tower and rooftop communications facilities for customers seeking to reduce their rollout costs and increase their rate of deployment, resulting in faster payback on their wireless equipment investments. The collaboration enables service providers to benefit from faster rollout of the network. Wave Wireless network design teams will work closely with Pinnacle Towers to identify the most strategic tower locations to implement wireless broadband base stations and ``wireless fiber'' backbones that will serve the greatest number of customers.
