Gus... one of these days you're going to realize that just because claims to understand Israel's position, does not make them an advocate of some ideology they might follow.

If Israel was attempting to expand its boundaries through unprovoked and unmerited aggression, then I would certainly denounce them.

How can I be a Zionist when I'm not even Jewish??

I'm not into spending too much time on who's "fault" it is, although I have my opinions on the matter.

The bottom line is that Israelis deserve to enjoy the peace and security of knowing that they are handing over VITALLY STRATEGIC territory to a government that has no plans on using it as a base from when to further their previous aggression against them.

The Palestinians have FAR MORE TO GAIN by being at peace with the Israelis, than they do being at war. But were I Israeli, I certainly wouldn't hand over security control of the west bank either until I was assured that I wasn't going to be threatened again.

As for the Palestinians... they should take this wonderful offer... Because it's better than anything their Arab "brethren" ever offered to them.

Thus, it's not a matter of "zionism" from my perspective, but one of making sure you don't sell the house you own next door to your own, to a bunch of criminal intent upon burning your house down as well.
