First, the article was written by Bob Cringley but I agree with some of his ideas. It matters not that you are happy with you cable service since your cable company is probably losing money on that service. They will not subsidize your surfing pleasure for ever.

I would say that broadband is "in the chasm" and not everything that goes into the chasm gets out alive.
