Oops. Looks like I was a little early on that JPM add. --------- Today I've done the following: EK: added to my position after today's announcement of a dividend increase. SCRA: added to my long-time and losing position after today's upbeat news release. PVN: Stock collapsed on news of loan losses and writeoffs. Dangerous business, imo - credit card loans to high risk individuals. And seems to me like these businesses have accounting 'tricks' which puff up non-existent assets/reserves/book value. (just my impression, unsupported by facts). Still, company is a big player, has had excellent reported (if I am to believe the numbers) returns on equity, the stock is selling at a multi-year low, people will still be wanting credit (not that they should be getting it though), so I've made a small bet here that the business and stock can improve within 12-18 months. Took small profits in ATMI. Not a value stock. I just do not have the courage to hold on to it or the patience to ride it down and up again. finance.yahoo.com Paul S.
