Ken,
If you look at Time magazine last week, the former bureau chief in Israel wrote an essay noting that indeed, shopping malls and movie theaters are frequent targets, as well as banks. However, people are allowed to bring machine guns into banks (Israelis I mean).
As you know by now, there's an anthrax case in NYC.
Frankly, there is an important balance between saying, "Well, we can't let them terrorize us, we've got to go about our normal lives" and "Let's be extra careful." I was just at an annual luncheon where only about 1/4 of the normal attendees were there. People won't fly. I respect that. So yes, for the time being, sure, airports, malls, major hotels, major corporations. Absolutely. |
