Hello Addi.

I read your thread, and you strike me as being very aware. I also get the feeling that you are holding lots of information close to your chest out of politeness and genuine concern.

I am curious about the relationship between Muhammed and Salman Farsi (did I spell that correctly?). Are you familiar with the stories?

You were there, I guess, when the American manufacturing plants had given employment, dignity, and hope to the people. I have a casual friend who escaped from there when the religious insanity returned. They were able to kill his 16 year old son as a lesson, however. He tells me interesting stories of being questioned as to the number of times he prayed, went to the mosque, that sort of thing. Unfortunately, his english is very minimal so I miss a lot of valuable and poignant information. I guess it was pretty exciting living between life and death at every moment, and not having the right to your own beliefs; but needing to believe what you were told, and to act as you were told--or to die on the spot without trial.

If you know of the stories about Salman Farsi, I would love to hear. If you feel PM is more appropriate, that is fine.
