I truly find it fascinating to study human psychology. Like in sports, its always the team that wins all the time, that has the best and highest paid players that the fans in other cities say they hate. Of course its completely irrational to hat the best in the sport to which you are a fan. In reality, its jealously maifesting itself as hate that is coming through. The fans in the low budget markets with the perennial losing teams say they hate the winners, put them down at the rare mistep, exagerate the set backs, when really its they wish their team was the winner. Now you change the venue from sports to trading and trading discussion sites and its clear this is a universal condition.

First , you cannot compare winning teams with trading because trading is an individual sport but has interaction with others. You need to compare players within the teams and how fans react to them.

The Chicago Bulls during their legacy had some of the best players . Two players from that team stand out the most, because each of them were great at what they did but their career and financial outcomes went in different direction, Michael Jordan and Dennis Rodman. We all Know that Michael was the BEST player to ever play the game and Dennis Rodman was one of the best Defensive player of the league. BOth were great at what they did but the fans reacted differently to both because of how they approached their own situations. As for the Team , Jordan was a true leader who helped his players become better players and made a Coaches job easier, Rodman gave the coaches , players and Owners Gray hair, the only reason he was able to stay and play in Chicago is that Jordan was able to keep him in check. Every other attempt by Rodman to salvage his career after Jordan retired resulted in failure for both the team that attempted to make it work and for Rodman. Rodman is out for himself plain and simple with total disregard for others, whom ever they were he didn't care who was affected. Jordan on the other hand was a great spokesman for the NBA , a great leader, and great teamate , who could hate him. His presence was felt wherever he went and the impact on others was immediate and positive.

Would rather be known as a Michael Jordan like team player or a Dennis Rodman by your spectators?
