Poet, I saw something about somebody trying to get females to fight each other...
There's so much to read here. Were you talking about me?
I never thought of what Ms.said in that light, but I suppose you could look at it that way. What I myself had in mind was that there are a lot of truly outrageous and often ridiculous assertions made on this thread. I believe, ahem, that I do my part to uphold that tradition. But when Ms.said what she said, I thought, yeah, that is true, you seldom see one woman call out another, not like the guys do. Men don't care what they say, or to whom.
I don't think guys feel any kind of bond to masculinity in general. I know that I regard a lot of guys as hopeless dorks, and when I get the chance I point that out to them. But I think that women do feel a bond to sisterhood or womanhood in general. The mere fact of "feminists" (there being no formalized "masculinists") suggests that, and may be explainable by the long tradition of men oppressing women (for a bibliography on that, check with "X.") So I can see the reluctance of one female to take on another, especially in public.
But, also, having lived for many years in close communion with both men and women, I can state categorically that: Women are nicer people. Women care more. Women are gentler and kinder. Women smell better and look better. So I can totally understand why they don't want to start fighting each other.
This may surprise you, but if a qualified woman runs for president I will be likely vote for her. The "radical" issue, as you point out, is probably a non-issue. I could change my mind however, so you may want to be nice to me from now on (not that you haven't been, just giving you another reason).
