Discussion about civil liberties, anti-terrorism, etc., surprisingly, has not included discussion of the violation of our rights as citizens to have secure borders and secure legal immigration process. The entire discussion about amnesty for millions who have come here illegally is a diminution of our rights as citizens. Additionally, without secure borders, what is the point?
Discussion has not focused on other domestic sources of terrorism. Many eco-terrorists have undertaken repeated acts of violence--destruction of logging equipment, scientific experiments at labs, release of mink from legal mink farms, etc. Nor has discussion focused on actions and ideology of anti-globalization protest leaders, anarchists, revolutionaries, etc.
Rhetoric of anti-globalization protests may be a prelude to actions that could have an even greater impact that WTC. Certainly hope not, but am surprised questions have not surfaced in thread. |
