The data table won't copy well (and there is a problem with the link - you have to click on the link I gave, then choose the US-1997 and Go to get the full table) but more than 15,000 died in Accidental Falls in 1997 alone, with many more in traffic accidents (40,000+)and other kinds of accidents (100,000 more in miscellaneous accidents). Not to mention 15,000-20,000 ordinary murders per year.

I feel sorry for everyone experiencing anxiety attacks over a phenomenon which will never affect them directly.
