Morning, Poet. You're needing to be serious today. I'll try to get with the program (sigh), though my heart may not be in it.
I think there's been a provocative element in your posts about women and the Presidency
Well, definitely. Isn't that how we grow and learn?
the women are all in the mid forties or older and most of us have graduate degrees
I kind of concluded that for myself. But Vietnam and Woodstock are over. Time (long overdue now) to free ourselves from past grievances and mind-sets and deal with America and the world as they are now.
I read your comment about X as snide
Most assuredly. I try, but sometimes I can't help myself. If you really want snide, you should see some of X's responses to me. I've known women, both in real life and on SI who are extraordinarily vicious. They just hide it better than men.
Well, I do have to agree with that (gulp).
you like bright women
Well, it's true that is one of the many reasons I like you. But I like a lot of other women who frankly aren't all that bright. I think intelligence in and of itself is greatly over-valued.
Well, I probably haven't done that well here. It's a rainy, cloudy day here, but I'm still in a mood for smiles and finding it hard to take life too seriously. J's teaching all day today, so I'm left with Scarlett and Melanie. They are rassling and playing as I write, and maybe that's affecting me.
Hope you have a real good day!
