Excessive tax cuts, such as those proposed by the GWB administration, are unpatriotic. The Repugs holler, "It's our money! It's our money! It's our money!" It's also our considerable national debt, so a considerable chunk of that money should be used to retire our national debt instead of ignoring this problem. Don't you agree that reducing the national debt is in the best interests of this country? Or are you one of those who wishes to "solve" the problem by passing it on to our children? As far as drilling for oil in Alaska: If we get rid of all the gas-guzzling SUVs and require 40 mpg for all personal vehicles, there would be no need to pollute Alaska and our dependence on foreign oil would be much lower. Yes, many policies of the Republican Party are unpatriotic, especially huge tax breaks for Corporate America.
