This was a very bullish week for North American Markets, all ending the week up nicely . For the
thread we had a huge divergence , some were extremely profitable and others , you can say had
a rough week. There were 9 stop loss kick outs this week , for a total of over (-$33000) in losses
and an average of (-$3675) per Stop loss kick out. Of the 9 Stop loss orders , 5 were from the
Short side and 4 were from the Long side. The 4 longs comprised of 2 gold stock issues and 2
oil stock issues, since these two sectors have been doing very well this year , it may be a signal
that the Oil and gold sectors are about to have a change in trend. (something to keep an eye on).
Of the 34 trades closed this week, 53% were on the Long side, an improvement over last week but
not anywhere near the level it should have been given that the markets were bullish all week. Clearly
the participants where fighting the trend and losing.

So what trend can we decifer next week?

The open positions after close of trading on Friday are 12 Longs (67%) Vs 6 Shorts (33%),
still favoring the long side of the trade.

I would have to agree with the majority , given the volume levels experienced this week , this trend
will not easily be broken unless an act of terror causes panic. The markets love to climb a wall of
worry with the least amount of participants on board , the terrorists are acting as the wall of worry
and given that most participants still favor cash or shorts, it appears the volume is institutional which
which means few retailer are riding the wave which fits the bill for the least amount of participants.
As long as these factors play out , i see continued upside IMO. We are at critical resistance levels
on both the DOw and Nasdaq but by the looks of the trading , it will be used as an opportunity to buy
on the dips. Consolidation at these levels is a bullish sign.
