We have heard all about the personal and professional lives (and families) of many people killed on September 11, particularly those thought or known to have performed heroic acts on that day. While the wives and husbands of many have been interviewed by the national press, it is interesting that Mr. Bingham's partner has been almost totally ignored. Do you think that oversight is intentional or carries a hidden message?

Providing information like this about the lives led by the beloved Fire Department chaplain and the rugby player is no different than going into detail about the private lives of the corporate executives, flight attendants, and others involved in those tragic events.

I did not read you complaining when the press provided numerous details of the private lives of those who were not gay.
