Firstly, the messianic promise actually starts in Genesis 3, earlier than the verses that you mention.
Secondly, read Galatians 3 to put your mind at ease that the messianic promises were clearly stated, especially to Abraham.
And finally, to your last point, imagine this! Someone dies for you. I mean a vicious, violent death. This death is the worst death any man ever had to suffer in human history, never mind the person didn't deserve it. The person is innoncent, and your guilty. But they love you so much, they take the punishment. They only thing they ask is that you accept this sacrifice for yourself.
You don't! In fact, you turn your face on that person and you do things you know they hate. You do terrible, terrible things to this person, over and over again, thousands and thousands of times, for a mans average human life span of around 72 years. How do you feel the person that sacrificed himself for you is going to feel? He waits and he waits for you to simply accept what he does for you, until your last dying breath but you slap him in the face up until you die.
Answer that, how do you think the innocent person feels after you treat him like that?
