Hi JC, Polvs, Rose, et al,

I live in Mississippi. I grew up in Kentucky and had a wonderful childhood. My parents were both good and smart and I learned a lot from them. The older I get, the smarter they use to be. I had amazing times growing up, and continue down the path of making great memories.

The Raider's have been a constant in my life. Ever since the days of Black and White T.V., and my Father falling asleep on the couch on Winter Sunday afternoons. I would simply marvel at the Raider's helmets and Jim Otto's double zero on his jersey. Then came color T.V. and the infamous "Hiedie" game against the Jets. When the A's moved from Kansas City to Oakland,it was settled, both my teams would be from Oakland. It didn't hurt that the A's were owned by Charles Finley a maverick that dazzled the eyes of a little kid from Kentucky. Ahhhh, the Green and Gold, I had never seen anything that shined like that, not to mention the White shoes.

When you grow up in a small town, you have to have a big dream, and something to grab your imagination.

Tonight the A's will play the New York Yankees, who have won,not one, or two World Championships, but three. The A's are considered upstarts, and zanie kids. They are a delight to me.

My sister lives in Atlanta, and if I were so lucky to have the A's versus the Brave's,I will travel to see my first World Series. This is my dream.
