United flight grounded in anthrax scare (UAL)

A United Airlines flight from Chicago to San Jose landed and was surrounded by police Saturday afternoon after flight attendants reported that a man who appeared to be of Middle Eastern origin tried to put an envelope full of white powder into the air duct system at the rear of the plane while it was in flight,local television station KNTV reported. Eighty people on Flight 1669 were held on the plane as the police tested the powder and the man was being held, the station reported
