Thanks for your thoughtful reply. I agree with you regarding Qualcomm, particuliarly the lack of a middle ground. I happen to like the company and the stock, probably more than I should. However I am not emotional enough to argue that I know that 3G is going to be a killer application thus fulfilling the great expectations many have for the company. I suspect that it is going to be very big within the next 5 years and that Q will make a lot of money from it, thus I have held nearly all my shares, still at a loss, as I have a cost basis in the 70's. It remains my largest holding. I also own NTAP and at this point I have held, since again I believe in the long term growth prospects of the company, and cannot think that over the next 5-10 years there is a much better place to invest.
The last several years have been very frustrating and I have learned a lot. I admire your unemotional and analytical style-thanks.
