Men tend to be more physically courageous than women. And I don't believe the need for than will disappear.

I have seen that change so much over my lifetime. When I was a child, women were still expected to stand on chairs upon arrival of a mouse. I know that I'm more physically courageous than I once was even though increasing age has left me less capable of acting effectively on it. Over time, I think that gap will close, at least for women not explicitly conditioned otherwise.
