Welcome back Pbull:
I think we are in for some interesting and more rewarding times. Congrats on the job, there have been many times in the past year I wish I had one again - even if I can survive without one, the security and income would
help in investing by reducing the emotional pressures and provide more certainty in achieving future goals which should include more than just money.
Some have computed a one-time $100 stock has to rise 5000% to get back to its original value.
Thats completely irrelevant and useless info. I have more to work with than in many past years, and a $2 stock going up to $4 provides a 100% return and in the blink of an eye one can find gains similar or better than in 1998.
This market went up from 2800 to 5000+ in about 6 months then came down in steps of about 1000 each 6 months. With around 36 fake bull rallies while headed down.
I would expect similar action on the way back up ( if I'm correct in assuming thats the way were headed)G, that is , major stair step gains with fake bear rallies ( can a bear rally, or just tank?)
Never underestimate Venkie, hes one of the very best here in far more ways than just investing.
Never, ever, associate with losers like LUC, they are harmful in aspects other than $.
Good luck
Sig ( having a ball in TX)
I've been around the block since fiinishing HS in 1941 in Mich.- Ill, Ala, Wis, Col, Tex, Kan, Okla, Wash, Hawaii, Enewitok, Ulithi, Guam,. Saipan, Tinian, Ca, Wash, Calif again, and finally 6 years ago to Texas.
Aero enggs did not make much ($2500/yr in 1948), get sent around the place. unlike my brother who has carved out a great life for over 80 years within 20 miles of our home town in Mich.
It has taken me 5 years to realize this Texas is a Paradise and I've finally found a home just like normal people do.(hehe). Or sometime do
